Basic account

Four chroniclers described the same people in the same century. One called them short. One called them tall. One called them of medium height. Two said they were fourteen feet.

Account

The Guanches were the indigenous people of the Canary Islands, and they were Amazigh, from the Berber peoples of North Africa. Archaeology and ancient DNA both confirm it, and there is evidence of habitation on Tenerife from the sixth century BCE.
