Basic account
Ancestral beings of giant scale in the volcanic landscape of Budj Bim.
Account
The Budj Bim cultural landscape in southwestern Victoria is a living Aboriginal place of aquaculture, volcano, and ancestral creation, cared for by Gunditjmara people across deep time. Stories of ancestral beings of great power and scale are bound to this country; they are not interchangeable with European giant-tales or colonial "lost race" fantasies.
